For this sound project, I am not yet sure what I am going to attempt to convey with it. I would have to listen to all the sounds before I can make a decision. Or even a decision might come to be in the editing process which is common when creating a soundscape. I am currently enrolled in a sound design course that teaches me about editing and creating sound for films. So far we have created a short soundscape, messed around with settings and effects, learned audio ducking, and created a video essay where we had to voice record in the new Atlas sound studio. The sound studio is a lot of fun to use and I will be using it again in the future. However, for that class, we have mostly just been using Davinci Resolve and the Fairlight tab to do our sound editing. But I believe we will also be using Adobe Audition in the future so it is good that I am getting some skill in it already. It's better to be well-versed in many different programs instead of just one because you can be flexible in a career. For instance, I want to be a movie editor after college and different editing houses use different software. This is why I made sure to be able to use Davinci Resolve, Avid, and Adobe Premiere (the big three), so then no matter what they use I will be able to jump write in. That being said, maybe I will create a linear story with my sound. But I will probably try to throw some horror twist on it as that is one of my favorite genres.
