About Me
I'm Mark Muratore, an editor and film enthusiast originally hailing from the floating rock known as Long Island, New York. There, I went to Ward Melville High School which is where I created many movies and ended up deciding I wanted to study film. My passion led me to the breathtaking foothills of Boulder, Colorado, where I currently immerse myself in the world of film production at the University of Colorado, Boulder. I enjoy imbuing my work with my style and creativity and hiding subtexts in my films that create more depth to the project. I also take creative inspiration from other works of art and my own life and include elements that some people might not catch on their first watch. For me, film is more than just a sequence of moving images; it's a powerful medium that allows me to connect, inspire, and evoke emotions. I believe in the magic of storytelling and its ability to transcend boundaries. My greatest goal in life is to create a film that leaves people walking out of the theater, still discussing my film. I want people to be moved by my artwork to the point where they break out laughing or crying, or even just a small choke in the throat before a tear rolls down their cheek. Or have them so scared and tense that where they are about to rip the armrests out of the chair. I have many goals in life that I don’t want but will see brought to fruition no matter how many days, weeks, months, or years it takes me. But working your way up always starts with the first step at the bottom that points you to greatness.
