Brainstorm blog #4

For this project, I was thinking about sticking with the theme I have been doing for most of the projects in the class and making a movie-themed Webventure. I have not flushed out all the details yet but I am planning to create a series of pages where the player would be making their movie by choosing a genre, hiring a director, then casting your star. I'm going to try to make each step follow a certain path that makes sense with who the picks are. So for instance, if you choose the horror genre then the directors you have to choose from are going to be two horror directors. Then when you choose the director, the two actors to choose from are going to be actors that I think that director would want to hire for a starring role. So either an actor that has a good relationship with the director or someone that just makes sense for that director to choose. I still have to figure out where I want to take it in the end. Maybe I will do something where I make a mock movie poster in Photoshop for each movie possibility and have AI create a realistic movie review for the possibilities which says if it worked or not in the box office. I will also have some picks that have a twist where it will just immediately fail you for some reason which will be funny. I’ll be using a lot of movie gifs and cut-out pictures of celebrities so Photoshop will be my most used asset. I’m hoping it will work out and I can also figure out what to do for the end. We’ll see.
